The Yard of the Month for June goes to Mrs. Kay Brady’s yard. Mrs. Brady works tirelessly in her yard planting flowers and mowing the lawn. It is a lovely place to sit and enjoy being outside! Mrs. Brady received a certificate and the Yard of the Month sign placed in her yard. Thank you to everyone that sent in a nomination! We had six nominations this month! The names will remain on the list for next month. If you know of a yard that is deserving of this award, please send in the address by July 31st. Call: 336-824-2604, text: 336-953-5129 or email: [email protected]. Keep those yards looking beautiful!
The new schedule for the Franklinville Board of Commissioner’s Meeting day and time will be the second Monday of each month starting at 7:30pm.
Congratulations to Martha Matthews for being the first resident of 2021 to be honored with Franklinville’s Yard of the Month! She was nominated by one of her neighbors. Mrs. Matthews enjoys working long hours in her expansive yard, mowing and tending to her beautiful flowers. She received a certificate, the “Yard of the Month” sign placed in her yard for the month of May and recognition on our Facebook page. Thank you Mrs. Matthews for beautifying your yard to make our Town a lovely place to live! Nominations for June are open now until May 31st. Please nominate a deserving yard/citizen by contacting Franklinville Town Hall. [email protected]
Our Yard of the Month begins on May 1st and ends in October. We are asking our Franklinville residents to nominate someone with a beautiful yard, by calling, or emailing the Town Hall before the last day of the month. The chosen Yard of the Month will be featured on our Town Facebook page and have the Yard of the Month sign posted in their yard for the month. We hope this will encourage everyone to get out and beautify their yards, which will then add to the landscape of our Town. This will be an annual event running from late spring through mid fall.
